Waterpolo
PASSION WITH A PURPOSE
Andrew Francis
With over 20 years’ experience in waterpolo I have played the game at club, county and university levels in England. I also played on both junior and senior national teams culminating in the qualification for the 2011 Pan Am games at my final CAC games as a player.
Being PASO Head coach qualified through the IOC Solidarity certification program I was the former head coach of Royhil Seals Waterpolo club and I have been and continue to coach and be involved with St. Anthony’s Aquatics program, as well as junior and senior national teams since 2004 at local, regional and international tournaments.
Andrew is a Physical Education teacher at St.Anthony’s College also known as home of the tigers. He is the owner and Fitness Director of Duro Body Fitness. He was a former national water polo player and is currently the national men’s head coach.
Being involved in swimming from a young age and playing water polo, he decided to study Sports Science at the University of Greenwich, London, England to become a coach to help develop a growing sport here. His love and passion for various experiences in health and fitness and sports grew exponentially thereafter.
After studying, he worked at a health and fitness club where he had the opportunity to experience similar exercise programs that he offers today. He wanted to bring these programs home and started up a fitness company that would have affiliations with professional and reputable names.
FUN FACT: He once played a waterpolo tournament against a Jamaican team who had Sean Paul on it.
We welcome Coach Francis to the Spartans TT Family.
